The person who fell from Tyne Bridge this week has been revealed by his family as 24 year old Ross Stewart.
Ross was described as funny, loving, kind and the “best brother you could ask for.”
Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
If you are struggling, please speak to someone.…
Ross was younger brother to Liam, 29, and Ryan, 28, and an older sibling to seven-year-old Ethan. His family have been left shocked and devastated by his sudden loss. While an inquest into his death is yet to be held, it is believed he took his own life.
Ross lived with Tanya and Ethan in the west end of the city. He previously attended Hadrian School in Benwell and Sir Charles Parsons School in Walker. Ryan said Ross had learning difficulties and struggled with reading and writing but he still managed to achieve everything which he set out to do.
Ryan, who works in construction, said: “He was the best brother you could ask for. He was loving, caring, spontaneous lad who would smile all the time. He was always willing to help you out no matter what.
“If you want to know what a good human being is, Ross was a good human being. He was lovable and he didn’t realise how funny he was.
