Teacher arrested for k#lling his ex-classmate and d¥mping him in a well in order to take possession of his vehicle
A teacher, Laminu Saminu, 29, has been arrested by operatives of the Katsina police command for allegedly killing his former classmate, ASC II Sanusi Bawa and b¥rying him in a well at Mani Local Government Area of the State.
According to a press release by SP Isah Gambo, spokesman of the command, the deceased was an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Katsina State Command and the suspect’s final year course mate at Federal College of Education, (FCE), Katisna.
He added that on November 26, the suspect lured the deceased to an unoccupied building, asked him to park his Golf Saloon car inside a garage in the compound and proceeded to serve him with a poi§oned locally prepared cow milk –
Fura da Nono meal – which made him unconscious.
Saminu, then got a firewood with which he used to hit the victim severally on the head till he passed away and he threw the corpse into a well. Isah noted that investigation revealed that the suspect’s intent was to rob the deceased of his vehicle.
He was caught after he made an error and called his late friend’s wife asking for the car documents. He was subsequently traced, arrested and confessed to the commission of the crime. A pack of rat poison, a heavy Firewood and the vehicle were found in the suspect’s possession.
