The Tanzanian Government has rewarded a boy who helped rescue 24 victims of the ill-fated Precision Air plane on Sunday with a sum of TSH. 1M (approx. KSH. 52,000) and a government job.
During the memorial service of the 19 who lost their lives on Sunday, (currently ongoing at the Kaitaba Stadium), the boy was handed the money in cash by Albert Chalamila, Kagera District Commissioner.
In addition, Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu has ordered the boy be employed at the Tanzania Rescue Service, an arm of the country’s army tasked with rescue missions.
