Nigerians believe Oba of Benin banned Okuku in Benin with curses on it because of James Brown.
Benin traditional council have ban the use of Eben ,Okuku and Ikele( round coral bead) in marriages and burials ceremony.

The Ikele which is the round coral bead is not wear by others person apart from chiefs , the long coral bead use for marriage or other ceremonies is called Udeguogho
