Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Spotify confirms this year’s Wrapped will count past October 31st.
Somehow, Wrapped always brings surprise and shock into our lists. What do you mean I listened to that song more than anything else?
So, if you want to hide the more shameful music from your Wrapped, you need to know the deadline to correct your wrongs.
And while many thought that deadline was Oct. 31, Spotify is finally weighing in on when it stops tracking — kind of..
In a now-deleted post from Pop Base, the pop culture account warned that Spotify will stop counting music at the end of October.
But Spotify said that’s not true.
“Hmm, that doesn’t sound right to us,” the company said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Don’t worry, Wrapped is still counting past Oct. 31.”
The moment many music fans wait all year for will soon be upon us – as Spotify Wrapped 2023 is released.
Spotify Wrapped is a retrospective round-up of all the music and podcasts a Spotify user has been listening to regularly over the time it’s been collecting the data.
The annual snapshot is hugely popular, often trending on social media as music fans show their results – while Spotify will also reveal who have been most streamed artists globally over the past 12 months.
When does Spotify Wrapped stop counting?
There’s some confusion over when Spotify stops counting ahead of releasing the Wrapped playlists for the year just gone.
The service previously said that it only counts from January 1 to October 31 when looking for your top artists, songs, and genres – which might explain why your list isn’t filled with Christmas songs or tracks released in the past couple of months of the year.
