He said that after everything, Sikho Mbutuma, luckily got employed.

Ajit Gopalakrishnan wrote: “Meet Sikho Mbutuma.

“He’s from KwaZakhele in iBhayi. He barely passed Matric last year with an average of 48% and more importantly he only got 41 % in Maths Literacy – for those who don’t know, that’s the governments ‘dumbed down’ version of maths in matric.

He had applied to NMU & WSU for BA Honors in History, he didn’t get in coz of his marks, so he was sitting at home doing nothing

“Then in August this year he hacked our device security software, that was built by our best engineers in conjunction with Lenovo. Not only that, once he was in, he was clever enough to leave some secret settings open, so that when we fixed the breach, which he knew we would, he could still get in through the back doors.

“Due to his actions he cost us literally buckets, and took our system down for almost two weeks.

So we hired him.

Are we still convinced that the matric certificate is a valid measure of capability?

Or that there is no talent in Africa?

“We’re not.

Where other’s see hopeless, we see potential!

#diamondsaboveground #africantalent.”
