Some of the 20 donkey carts procured by the North West provincial government for R780,000 and handed over to rural villagers in a ceremony last weekend have already broken down, with locals saying they are not suited for the rough terrain.
In another news, Operation Dudula is taking aim at Groote Schuur hospital. It accuses the facility of hiring foreign nationals as porters, cooks and cleaners.
The organisation says South Africans are being left out and can only get jobs if they pay.
