Taking to social media, Benjamin Dube, shared a video showing moment snow is falling in his Estate in Johannesburg.
Extremely cold and wet conditions have persisted throughout the country, with plummeting temperatures bringing uncharacteristic snowfall to Johannesburg, as well as parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
The snow started to fall over the high-lying areas of the Western Cape and Northern Cape over the weekend and spread to the high-lying areas of the Eastern Cape, leading to road closures.
Meanwhile, motorists have been urged to approach Eastern Cape mountain passes with extra caution as snowfalls continue to cause havoc in some of the roads across the province.
Several incidents of vehicles skidding off the road slippery due to snowfall.
Eastern Cape emergency services spokesperson Unathi Binqose said a taxi at the Penhoek pass suffered the same fate at the Lootsberg Pass on the N9 between Graaff Reinet and Middelburg.
