Conor McGregor reacts to Caleb Plant smacking Jermall Charlo
The former UFC double champion took issue with the incident. In a deleted tweet, Conor McGregor said, “No.” His issue with the scuffle with not with Caleb Plant, but rather with Jermall Charlo. McGregor claimed that the fight should have been done and dusted there itself. Instead, he was disappointed that both of them got separated after Caleb Plant’s smack on Charlo’s face. The Irishman in another deleted tweet said, “Get right back here this second. Sir, you’re going nowhere till we settle this dispute here and now.”
The two boxers have been beefing since last year after Jermall Charlo’s comments that labeled Caleb Plant a ‘stepping stone’ to fighting a bigger name in boxing. Plant hit back immediately with a tweet calling out Charlo to a fight towards the end of 2022. The two did not meet in the ring but continued to express interest in fighting each other.
However, things did not escalate more than it had to. Both fighters were separated and escorted out of the arena with the presence of security by their side. Caleb Plant’s action didn’t go unnoticed as many people, including former UFC double champion Conor McGregor, took to social media to express their thoughts about the whole altercation.
