Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Moment shows 2 Ukrainian musicians, Khrystyna Spitsyna and Svitlana Semeykina, singing before being killed by Russian missile strike yesterday in Zaporizhzhia.
Previously, the 23rd separate brigade of the “Khortytsia” OGP of the NGU published a video of the girls singing the song and noted that they are the daughters of national guardsmen who are currently defending Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
It will be recalled that a 43-year-old man and two women, aged 19 and 21, died as a result of a rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia. Another 9 were injured, including an 11-month-old child.
Zaporizhzhia Governor Yuriy Malashko said the 16 injured included four children.
Pictures and video shared by officials showed a big crater, wrecked cars and a badly damaged four-storey building with a hotel sign.
Local media reported the damaged building is Reikartz Hotel in the city centre on the bank of the Dnipro River.
The United Nations staff used the hotel when they worked in the town, said Denise Brown, the humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine, in an emailed statement.
Social media video and images indicate that Ukrainian troops have entered the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region — a location that has seen heavy fighting for several weeks.
Ukraine’s military has not confirmed that it holds the village. One photograph purports to show a Ukrainian soldier standing in front of a road sign at the entrance to the village. The image could not immediately be geolocated.
The commander of Ukrainian forces in the south, Brig. Gen. Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said his units have made progress.
