Shaquille O’Neal has dunked hard on Kanye West following the embattled rapper taking several shots at the former basketballer on his Twitter.

West, almost out of seemingly nowhere, brought up billionaire businessman Jamie Salter and his relationship with Shaq in order to make some sort of point about Black people being controlled by white men and having image rights over celebrities. Shaq immediately shot back with a tweet disregarding West’s comments, essentially saying “don’t get up in my business”.

Shaq dismissing West comes after he was featured in a previous Ye tweet talking about Kyrie Irving. Shaq had described Irving as an “idiot” following his antisemitic movie recommendation, which ended with him getting suspended for five games by the Brooklyn Nets. Shaq even quoted West back to himself, in the ultimate slam dunk.

There’s an outpouring of reactions to West’s very public breakdown online, with his first antisemitic remarks getting lambasted by the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Silverman, and many more. Unfortunately, not much is changing in terms of his ability to be platformed.

Elon Musk had said he had spoken to West about his infamous “death con” tweet and believed it had an effect on Ye, but clearly, the effect it had was utter indifference, if it even happened in the first place. West has somewhat of an ally in Musk, who has started off on shaky ground as the Twitter owner with free speech issues but seems to believe in allowing all views on the platform — regardless of who it offends.

West’s access to his account feels as though it could be revoked if Musk wants to make an active example of hate speech, though he seems to be far more engaged in defending his terrible ideas from Stephen King.

Following his offensive remarks, social media giant Instagram decided to pull the plug on him suspending his account. As the scrutiny around Ye continues, the antisemitism row hit the NBA, with Kyrie Irving sharing the link to a documentary film that incited hate towards the Jewish community.

Though the Nets superstar offered clarification stating he respected all religions but didn’t budge from his stance, despite drawing strong reactions from various sections, including Nets owner Joe Tsai. As per the latest report, the seven-time All-Star will be facing a minimum 5-game suspension.

An advocate for social justice rights, Shaq made no qualms about condemning Irving’s antisemitic comments, which included addressing him as an ‘idiot.’ However, this didn’t sit down too well with Ye, who believed the Lakers legend’s business alignment with Jamie Salter had him turn his back on people of his community.

Kyrie Irving has become the source of a lot of heat for his social opinions very quickly into the 2022-23 season. After missing most of the 2021-22 season because of a refusal to get vaccinated, Nets fans hoped that Irving focuses on basketball this season and help the team to a championship in the final year of his contract.

Instead, Irving has endorsed an anti-Semitic film on Twitter and gone out of his way to not apologize for doing so. This has led to suspensions and personal statements being released by Adam Silver, but it has also led to many athletes and media members giving their opinions.

Attacking or criticizing anyone should be fair game, but we had seen in Kanye’s career that he will force himself into these situations even when no one asked for him. Kyrie hasn’t mentioned Kanye in any of his statements or messages even once. West is also going through an anti-Semitism scandal for intentionally and repeatedly attacking the Jewish community on social media.

Kyrie Irving is getting unanimously rejected by many of his brothers in the sports world. A new contract with the Brooklyn Nets seems completely out of the question, so will the team keep him on their squad until the end of the year to keep Kevin Durant happy?

Bill Russell has revealed that the Nets came up empty while discussing trade offers for Kyrie, meaning the league is trying to not get involved with Irving. His talent is so amazing that he will definitely find another job in this league, provided he doesn’t continue to double down on anti-Semitism and provided he apologizes.

Kanye West wrote: “Shaq is in business with Jamie Salter

Jaimie first said he’s 50/50 with David Beckham and 50/50 with Shaq

I said “Jamie . . . There’s no such thing as 50/50 in business . . . Who has the extra 1 percent for the control and voting rights”.
