Senator Chuck Grassley released the FD-1023 form, alleging that Mykola Zlochevsky, Burisma’s founder, paid a $5,000,000 bribe each to Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden to have Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired.
Hunter was reportedly hired by Zlochevsky to use his political influence to halt investigations into money laundering.
In 2018, Joe Biden admitted to pressuring Ukraine’s President to fire Shokin, who was investigating his son’s Ukrainian energy company, using the threat of withholding a $1 billion US loan guarantee.
In 2020, Ukrainian officials seized a $6 million cash bribe linked to Zlochevsky, aimed at stopping an investigation into Burisma’s founder.

According to the Zlochevsk, there are “many text messages and recordings” proving that he was coerced to make the payments.
In Burisma’s own words, they “hired Hunter Biden ‘to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.”
“CHS recalled this meeting took place around the time Joe Biden made a public statement about {former) Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin being corrupt, and that he should be fired/removed from office,” according to the form. “CHS told Zlochevsky that due to Shokin’s investigation into Burisma, which was made public at this time, it would have a substantial negative impact on Burisma’s prospective IPO in the United States.”
