Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that SANTACO has said its company has submitted bid to buy popular airline, known as, Mango Airlines. (Read More Here).
Taking to its Twitter page, SANTACO, announced that its company has plans to buy Mango Airlines. Unfortunately, a few South Africans aren’t happy.
The South African National Taxi Council was one of the bidders keen to give low-lost airline Mango its wings back. However, the taxi industry’s representative body was not in luck as it didn’t make it to the shortlist. Imagine SANTACO running an airline.
Buti J Mkhonza the founder of BJM Coaches, from being a taxi driver in 1998 with one taxi, to a Fleet of +150 taxis, 80 buses and 30 mini taxis making him the richest black taxi owner in South Africa. He also owns a filling stations in Gauteng the Chairman of SANTACO.
SANTACO wrote:
“SANTACO did submit a bid to acquire Mango Airlines. We are confident we submitted a formidable bid. We will make a statement this week on the matter including the Business Rescue Practitioner’s reply letter that was leaked to the media.”
