Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Sam Levinson gets Dragged as Euphoria season 3 is set five years in the future.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of ‘Euphoria’ have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president, HBO Programming, in a statement last year. “We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3.”

Euphoria Season 3 begins filming this June and there will reportedly be a five-year time jump in the story. Vogue caught up with costume designer Heidi Bivens to talk about her success on the HBO mega-hit. When the network decided to renew the Zendaya-led show last year, it was an absolute no-brainer. But, the numerous dangling plot threads led people to wonder what would happen in the next season. Well, that time-skip would allow various plots to possibly resolve themselves and leave viewers in the aftermath of different characters’ decisions. So, theres’ so much to look forward to this summer as shots from production continue to roll in.

In a recent interview with Vogue, a costume designer from the show revealed some potential details about Euphoria season 3’s time jump. Though she has yet to read the scripts for the third season, Heidi Bivens says “there is talk of it being approximately five years in the future” with the characters no longer in high school.

The twist, however, came in Vogue’s profile of Bivens. She revealed that there have been discussions of the third season of Euphoria taking place five years in the future: “I’m really excited to read the scripts. There is talk of it being approximately five years in the future, and that they’re not in high school anymore. Dorothy’s not in Kansas anymore. I mean, it might be a total trip. Who can say? But knowing Sam [Levinson]’s brain, it’s gonna be exciting, and he will challenge all of us, because he won’t want to repeat himself. It’ll be something new for the audience to discover.”
