Recall the tragic incident that occurred on Thursday at Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt City, Rivers State? – A Keke/tricycle driver, Schoolboy was shot thrice in his forehead over refusal for N100 bribe.
The incident took place at 7:00am Thursday, at Rumuokoro, when Schoolboy was stopped by a police officer and demanded bribe of 100 naira from him. Schoolboy tries to explain to him that he just resumed and hasn’t made any money. The evil police man shot him in his forehead thrice and and that was the end of Schoolboy. Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the police man who shot Schoolboy dead.
River State Police Spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni said: “I’m aware of the incident at Rukpokwu. One of our men killed a Keke driver this morning. The police man has been disarmed and he’s detained now.
“We are pleading for calm to allow us to bring him to justice. Two wrongs can never make a wrong. The Keke driver has died and the man who killed him must receive his punishment. Killing a police officer or burning down a station cannot bring him back to life or give him justice. Instead, it will worsen the situation.”
