Students at the University of Limpopo Turfloop campus are concerned they will end up homeless because landlords are tired of hearing excuses that the university has not paid them the residential allowances.

The students held an early morning meeting with landlords at zone 1 park in Mankweng today , and tried to discuss a way forward after the university allegedly failed to pay students their off-campus allowances.

One student told Capricorn FM News it’s been 9 months without receiving his allowance and the university has been promising to pay.

He says he is running out of ideas or people to lend him the rent money.

This student says it has been a difficult year for them because they are unable to study peacefully while they are always worried that the landlords will kick them out of their rooms.
