Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is humiliated after the floor of Congress erupts, chanting, “Shame shame, shame!” at McCarthy after he censured Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff over his investigations into Donald Trump.
But it gets worse for McCarthy…
ABC News reports that McCarthy tried to control the outburst against him, but “the banging of his gavel could barely be heard over Democrats yelling that the move was a “disgrace” and more.
As the vote was called, Democratic Congresdman Eric Swalwell shouted at McCarthy, “It’s pathetic that you’re doing this. Pathetic!” ABC reports that “Schiff was surrounded by fellow Democrats in the chamber, many of whom high-fived and embraced him as he walked towards the front,” and that “multiple Democrats screamed, “What about Santos?”
