Report indicates there was an attack on a Joint Operation checkpoint at Amodu community on Amodu Road in Nkanu West Local Government Area on Tuesday 27th September 2022 at about 0800hrs. (Read More Here).
The hoodlums stormed the checkpoint in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna and reportedly opened fire at the combined team of Police and military which subsequently led to a gun duel that lasted for some minutes.
Amid the attack, the operatives neutralized some of the hoodlums while most of them escaped the scene of the incident with fatal gunshot injuries.
