Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Amos Mbhedzi, the freedom fighter and member of the South African Communist Party (SACP) with alleged links to PUDEMO, has died.
The death of the freedom fighter who was allegedly involved in the Lozitha bombing was confirmed on Tuesday by Wandile Dludlu,the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO).
“It’s true, but we are still engaging the family and thereafter,we will release an official statement,” said the PUDEMO Secretary General.
It has been disclosed that Mbhedzi died on Tuesday morning while receiving treatment in South Africa, this comes after being released by officers at Mswati Correctional Services amid fears he may have died in Matsapha prison.
Efforts to reach Amos Mbhedzi’s family proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
The freedom fighter was arrested and sentenced to life-imprisonment by Judge Bheki Maphalala who was later promoted to be Chief Justice.
