Police detained a Bangladesh national for flying the Jalur Gemilang upside down at his residence in Klang, yesterday.

Klang Utara police say the man in his 30s had refused to hang the national flag properly despite being told by a resident, and continued to be provocative.

The suspect has been remanded for 3 days.

The case is being probed under the Penal Code, the Minor Offences Act and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act for insulting a person, insulting behaviour and improper use of network facilities.
