Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Police confirm the arrest of Zengeza West MP Job Sikhala, the lawyer for Moreblessing Ali’s family.
Spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi says Sikhala “arrested in connection with the orgy of public violence which occurred in Nyatsime area, Chitungwiza this afternoon.”
Godfrey Sithole (another arrested MP) says he is being charged with inciting public violence after today’s standoff at Moreblessing Ali’s memorial.
Hopewell Chin’ono reports: “Another opposition @CCCZimbabwe Member of Parliament has been arrested minutes ago.
Chitungwiza North MP Godfrey Sithole is being taken to Harare Central Police.
“2. @CCCZimbabwe activist Moreblessing Ali was allegedly murdered by ZANUPF thugs in Nyatsime.
Her funeral has become a battle ground for ZANUPF and @CCCZimbabwe supporters.
Last night 2 @CCCZimbabwe MPs @JobSikhala1 and George Sithole were arrested.
ZANUPF thugs are roaming!”
