Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that way Celebrations as concept art of Wapeach has been revealed.
The concept art shared by Aoki depicts Wapeach in a full body outfit, cones where her ears would be, and some massive black boots. There are several images of her from different angles, one of which is holding a tennis racket, while another is holding an axe that would make even the burliest of lumberjacks blush in embarrassment. When asked why she was holding an axe, Aoki says it’s because he thought the idea of the character being “cute and scary” was interesting.
Aoki goes on to reveal even more details about the character, including the idea that she would’ve been an authority figure, dishing out the orders to Wario and Waluigi. He also reveals that he even wanted to make an arch-rival for Yoshi that would’ve been a companion for Wapeach, who would have been a dragon with horns and wings.
Aoki rocked the Waluigi fandom by posting early sketches of Wapeach — also known as Warupeachi — on his Instagram account. He quickly followed those images up with what appears to be the bad Princess Peach’s 3D model created for the GameCube Mario Tennis game.
Aoki’s sketch, posted only with the hashtag #characterdesign, shows a Princess Peach-like woman wearing a crown and what appears to be a leather or latex dress. She’s wearing a spiked armband, the kind that Bowser and Bowser Jr. (and Bowsette) wear, and holding a tennis racket. In one sketch she’s holding an ax! The words Purichi (プリチ) and Warupeachi (ワルピーチ) are used to label the sketch.
One such concept that we already know of is Wapeach, sometimes referred to as Warupichi. She was a character that was pitched as an arch-rival to Princess Peach, the same way in which Wario and Waluigi are the arch-rivals of Mario and Luigi. Alongside Waluigi, she was to be introduced in the spinoff title Mario Tennis, but was ultimately scrapped by series creator Shigeru Miyamoto at the last minute.
