Chief and Engineer Simon Nwakacha, is an indigene of Umueri, Anambra East local government area of Anambra state, in Nigeria. He worked with NNPC for 35 years and retired from service in 2013.
He’s the founder or owner of the famous and the recently most attacked university in Nigeria, Greenfield University, in Kaduna State. He was born on December 30, 1953.
Why Greenfield University suddenly became the most attacked citadel is still unknown to many Nigerians, students and staff of the great school. Most Nigerians are saying it’s because the school is owned by an Igbo man, hence, the attacks from Kidnappers and other terrorist groups.
A few days ago, five (5) students out of the kidnapped students were killed by a terrorist group. Yesterday, another threat was sent to the school, which is currently causing stirs on social media amongst Nigerians.
The kidnappers have set today as the deadline to pay 100m ransom or they’ll kill 17 students. Greenfield University was established in January 2019 and its first session – 2018/2019 started in May 2019. Greenfield University currently has two incredible faculties, which are: Faculty of Social and Management Sciences Faculty of Science and Technology.
Simon Nwakacha has been married to Joy Nwabuewele Nwakacha since 1981. Together they have 7 children: Justin Nwakacha (1981), Chioma Ezema (1982), Dr Valentine Nwakacha (1984), John-Paul and Simon-Peter Nwakacha (1986, twins), Dr Judith Aniekwena (1990) and Chinenye Nwakacha (1999).
