PHOTOS: 77-year-old man was peacefully monitoring the South Dorset Hunt when he was attacked and violently beaten with an iron bar

This 77 year old man was peacefully monitoring the South Dorset Hunt when he was attacked and violently beaten with an iron bar. His body cam was ripped from him and the attackers ran off. He is now in hospital. 

We send our thoughts and hope for a speedy recovery. He is currently in hospital with serious head injuries, blood loss and other injuries to his hands and chest. 

The attackers only ran off when sabs arrived, they left him bleeding and shaking in the mud and we immediately called an ambulance.

South Dorset Hunt have taken to Twitter to react to the attack incident. South Dorset Hunt wrote: “Thoughts tonight are with the 77 year old hunt monitor attacked and beaten by supporters from the South Dorset hunt this afternoon. Currently in hospital with extensive injuries including head wounds. @Weymouthanimalr @rupertevelyn.”
