Taking to his Facebook page, Tim Beville, shared photos from his late puppy’s extravagant funeral. He buried his dog as he would bury a human being. There was also a “register” or “condolence book” for his late dog’s sympathisers to pen their tribute messages.

He wrote: “Thank you to everyone that came out tonight to say goodbye to Dexter! The love is so appreciated! Run Free Dexter! It’s been 7 days since you left us, and tonight we will get her to say our final see you later, Dexter.”

On April 30 and May 1, Tim, took to his Facebook page to gush after his other dogs, Mason and Daisy, could finally eat their food after the passing of Dexter. According to Tim, he says Mason and Dexter used to be close friends and that really affected Mason a lot.

He wrote: “Mason and Daisy finally ate this afternoon. The first time since Dexter has been gone. Mason and Dexter were a bonded pair and he just keeps howling and walking around the house like he’s lost.

My poor little guy he is so confused.

So…..this is me…watching my Mason finally start eating! I’m so relieved, today it’s all about him. #Mason.”
