Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Tiger, Yop Kuang, caught by Perhilitan Perak in Kampung Ulu Kuang, Chemor, is safe and alive. 
Perhilitan Perak has caught a tiger in Kampung Ulu Kuang, Chemor, following a report about a tiger attack in the village.

The tiger, named Yop Kuang, looks healthy and is believed to be part of a tiger population in the Bukit Kinta Forest Reserve, said the department.

The tiger, aged about six years old and weighing 156 kg, walked into a trap set up by Perhilitan yesterday.

According to the department, the tiger has been attacking animals bred by the villagers and has also been seen roaming in the area, probably in search of food.
