“However, I believe that too much was asked of DHSC (Department of Health and Social Care) at that point.”

When a microwave antenna stopped working in Central California, technicians discovered 50 gallons of acorns inside. Acorn woodpeckers typically store nuts one at a time, and are known to store up to 50,000 acorns in a single cache.


After the acorns dropped out of the antenna, signal restored immediately. Techs replaced the cover with a new reinforced one to keep the woodpeckers out.
