Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Reactions as Glen Powell flaunts his butt cheeks on Men’s Health magazine.
In Men’s Health’s December cover story, Powell, 35, talked about his rising fame in the year-plus since Top Gun: Maverick broke box office records, and discussed his time filming the upcoming rom-com Anyone But You with Sweeney, 26, in Australia.
Powell’s split from ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris, around the same time the movie filmed in the spring, fueled rumors that the costars were engaged in an offscreen romance.
It all got Powell in cover-guy shape—and if you have a full gym setup, it’s a workout you can take on, too. If you take on Powell’s split, aim to train four days a week, resting at least one day in between each major workout. Make sure to warm up for each session, too, with a few bodyweight moves. Do at least 1 minute each of jumping jacks, reverse lunges, and planks before getting to the meat of each workout.
“When all that stuff happened, you know, publicly, it felt disorienting and unfair,” he said in the cover story. “But what I’m realizing is that’s just a part of this gig now.”
Anyone But You follows Sweeney and Powell as lead characters Bea and Ben, whose initial attraction to each other fades quickly “until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia,” according to an official synopsis. “So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.”
That meant finding a unique balance between the heavyweight lifts that add raw muscle and strength, and the detail exercises that truly finish out a physique. Powell trained four days a week, working off a three-day split. He’d start each round of the split hitting arms, abs, and shoulders, take a day off, then train chest and back. After another rest day, he’d do a “leg” workout, but it wasn’t your typical leg day grind. It was “more for conditioning,” says Mitchell, “and promoting an athletic look.”
