The Petercopter is Peter Griffin’s gilder in Fortnite.
A few months ago, while digging through the files, a series of images from Family Guy were leaked showing some of the most famous scenes from the series. The data was tied to a back accessory file codenamed “fries,” which many believe was a nod to the “Ding fries are done!” Family Guy recurrent joke.
Following this leak, everything suddenly became quiet about the supposed crossover – that’s it until more leaks coming from Epic Games themselves surfaced! They accidentally revealed an upcoming Family Guy crossover in their Unreal Engine live stream.
After years of rumor, speculation, and seasonal disappointment, Family Guy’s Peter Griffin may finally be coming to Fortnite with Chapter 5 season 1. An unconfirmed leaked image of the battle royale game’s next season shows a (buff) Peter Griffin standing alongside Fortnite’s usual cast of sleek super spies and anthropomorphic animals. Oh, and Solid Snake.
If accurate — and Fortnite fans will probably find out on Saturday, when the season-ending Big Bang event kicks off — it will mean the end of a years-long saga of Family Guy’s inclusion in the battle royale. Dataminers uncovered references to Peter Griffin back in 2021, in what was said to be a red herring; Epic Games’ developers were reportedly trolling Fortnite fans who liked to dig around its file structure. In 2022, there was another reference to Family Guy in an official Fortnite video, alongside hints pointing to Darth Vader and id Software’s Doom. Vader and the Doom Slayer eventually made their way to Fortnite, but no Peter Griffin… yet.
