This score represents a marked improvement over the 2010 movie’s score of 48%, and an even bigger improvement over Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ 42%. While the show’s score is subject to change as more reviews pour in, the latest adaptation is off to a strong start.


It’s no secret that Riordan was not a fan of either feature film adaptation of his hit novel series. The author would detail his experiences with the films on his blog, revealing that his creative input was largely ignored, with the final films ultimately losing what he saw as crucial elements of his story. This time, however, Riordan serves as a co-creator and executive producer, with the author even writing one of the episodes.
