Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Omni-Man has given birth to baby boy with a purple body with alien bug after impregnating her.

Omni-Man’s books play a big role in Invincible season 2, episode 4, and here’s what they mean and why he tells Mark to read them. Although Nolan Grayson is a superhero, he also has a secret life as a human, with him acting as an author in order to make money for his family. Although Nolan’s books are rarely brought up in the series, they turn out to be of much importance to him at the end of the mid-season finale. Invincible season 2 still has a lot of story left to tell, and Nolan’s books may be key to Mark’s arc in the future of the show.

Invincible season 2 is finally here, with the highly anticipated continuation of Amazon Prime Video’s beloved animated superhero series now releasing on the streaming service. Invincible season 2 has made a lot of promises, with the first four episodes being packed full of new and returning storylines. Season 2 has already followed up on Invincible’s battle with Omni-Man in Chicago while also introducing new threats like Angstrom Levy and Thaedus’ Coalition of Planets, expanding the world of the series to a much bigger scale. However, the key to everything may lie in a seemingly unimportant place: Nolan Grayson’s books.

Omni-Man’s books may seem like just a cover for Nolan to live his life as a human, but they actually contain some valuable information. Nolan’s books are full of hidden ways to defeat Viltrumites, which is knowledge that many alien species would kill to have. Viltrumites are some of the most powerful figures in the universe, which is why instructions on how to kill them would be immensely important to all kinds of people, including Mark, Allen the Alien, Angstrom Levy, and the Coalition of Planets. It is unknown why Omni-Man included these facts in his books, but in the comic series they turn out to play a big role.

“We’re still putting the final polish on the last four episodes,” Kirkman told TechRadar in late October. “So it made sense, scheduling-wise, to take a break over the holidays. We also realized that there’s a really strong narrative break [between episodes 4 and 5] that makes season 2 feel like two completely different seasons, and it gives us a lot of opportunity to build anticipation for episode 5.”

But fret not, Invincible fans, because season 2 will return for its second installment in early 2024. In October, co-showrunner Simon Racioppa exclusively told us it “wasn’t the original plan” to split the season in two, but there we go.

Seeing one of the best Prime Video shows go on hiatus is all the more frustrating considering how the season 2 mid-season finale – titled ‘It’s Been a While’ – ended. Luckily for you, we’re here to deliver some much-needed answers to your biggest questions. Before the series returned on November 3, we sat down with Racioppa and Invincible’s comics co-creator Robert Kirkman to get the lowdown on season 2 episode 4’s suspense-filled ending, what its post-credits scene means, and more.
