Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Nokubonga Mahaye killed by her boyfriend who used stick with nails to hit her to death in Sunnydale.



UMlalazi Mayor Queen Xulu has sounded an alarm for women to break free from toxic relationships and shatter the cycle of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). This urgent call comes after the horrific murder of 31-year-old Nokubonga Mahaye in Sunnydale Ward 11 at uMlalazi. Mahaye’s long-term boyfriend allegedly attacked her to death with a plank embedded with razor-sharp nails.

According to family members, the couple’s relationship was marred by toxicity and alcohol abuse, with visible signs of violence evident in their RDP home, which had broken windows and doors. To add to the tragedy, the offender allegedly destroyed Mahaye’s identity document, delaying her burial. READ MORE HERE

Her Worship the Mayor Queen Xulu emphasized the need for young women to recognize the warning signs of abusive relationships, rather than tolerating them under the guise of long-term commitment. Xulu has pledged to support Mahaye’s family by covering funeral costs and refurbishing their home to ensure a dignified send-off.
