The suspect identified in the abuse and murder of a 5-year-old girl in Valencia City, Bukidnon was also found dead after he turned himself in to the authorities yesterday, January 12, 2025. READ MORE HERE
The child victim was found dead and said to be missing in the said area on Saturday afternoon, January 11, 2025. The identified suspect was identified as Marlon Pantonial, 30 years old, and a resident of Sitio Palohan, Brgy. Banlag, in Valencia City in Bukidnon. During the investigation by the police, it was revealed that he grabbed a weapon from the police while in the custody of the authorities and then shot himself.
The suspect was taken to the hospital but was declared dead-on-arrival. The chief of the Valencia City Police Office, Police Lt. Col. Bryan Panganiban said that they do not believe that the suspect should have shot himself because he voluntarily stayed and confessed to the crime.
