Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that IPOB unknown gunmen killed Nigerian soldier, Sergeant Charles Ugochukwu, yesterday during shooting at Obikabia junction in Ogborhill, Aba, Abia state.
Meet Staff Sergeant Charles Ugochukwu, another soldier from Abia, who was tragically shot dead by unknown gunmen in Abia yesterday.
The late Sergeant Ugochukwu had served in the military for 30 years and was only a few years away from retirement. He hailed from Ugwunagbo Local Government Area in Abia State.
He was killed alongside four other soldiers at Obikabia Junction in Aba yesterday by unknown gunmen.
May his soul rest in peace.
The Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations refused to take calls and when contacted, the spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command Maureen Chinaka said: “I refer you all to the military PRO as I do not speak for the military”.
Meanwhile, the Abia State Government says the Alex Otti-led administration is engaging with the organisers of Thursday’s sit-at-home to ensure that the academic interests of the candidates for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) were not hurt.
