POLICE DESTROYED MOTORCYCLE, DEAD

A member of the PNP at the General Santos City Police Office did not escape death after an accident in Barangay Coronon, Sta. Cruz Davao Del Sur, last day (January 25) at 2:00 in the afternoon, where the YAMAHA MT09 he was driving and another 6-wheeler truck were involved.

In the post to the public, the victim was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Wilfredo Guirre who served at the General Santos City Police Office (GCPO). “RIP Sgt. Wilfredo Guirre. A Protector. A Friend. A Good Father. Your duty on earth is done, brother. Enjoy your eternal ride in heaven. You will always ride with us in spirit,” Cears Serrano posted.

According to the report, from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-XI, the two vehicles were destroyed on the way to Digos City where the motorcycle was on the inner lane while the truck was on the outer lane. Upon reaching the said place, the truck suddenly made a U-TURN towards Davao City where it crossed the yellow solid lane, which is why the motorcycle crashed resulting in the death of the victim who was dead on arrival at the Digos Provincial Hospital.
