Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that The Gatekeeper Anthony Taylor is the new Misfits LHW Champion after hugging fight with King Kenny.
Taylor went down in the third from a low blow as a cacophony of boos rang around the AO Arena. The fight was quickly turning into a stinker. King Kenny was read his riot act by his corner heading into the fourth and it seemed to spark something in him.
The fourth round brought with it more drama. Both fighters took a tumble – Taylor slipped first, and in Kenny’s attempt to capitalize, he too lost his footing. However, the fight’s conclusion was clear. Anthony Taylor secured a unanimous decision win, capturing the Misfits light-heavyweight title. All judges resonated in their scoring, showing a clear favor towards ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor.
However, this approach didn’t necessarily win the hearts of fans. Many felt that Taylor’s continuous rushing and clinching made the bout more tedious than thrilling. One viewer opined that Taylor, despite securing the win, made the entire event rather lackluster, suggesting that King Kenny needed to be more proactive.
An influencer boxer has been blasted by fans for his fighting style which has been described as ‘boring’. Anthony Taylor has clinched the title after beating Youtuber and crowd favourite King Kenny during the undercard of the KSI and Tommy Fury fight.
Taylor managed to go the distance against Kenny after he managed to frustrate Kenny by smothering him and limiting his range. The win makes Taylor the Misfits light heavyweight world champion.
The two fought at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday night (October 14). Despite his win at the event being streamed on DAZN, many were not happy with the performance with X users (formerly known as Twitter) letting it be known how they feel about his tactics.
Transitioning into the second round, the same pattern followed. Taylor’s persistence in pressing the pace seemed to unsettle Kenny. By the third round, Taylor’s strategy was evident. He would rush, tie up Kenny, and pepper in body shots. While some found this clinch-heavy approach effective, others deemed it tedious. It was during one of these intense clinches that a low blow led to a brief pause, further emphasizing Taylor’s aggressive and sometimes messy style.
