Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Donald Trump gained 1.4M followers on TikTok in less than 24 hours after creating an account.
Former US president and current White House hopeful Donald Trump has joined TikTok, posting his first video on the wildly popular social media app he once tried to ban while in office.
Trump has racked up more than 22 million views on his debut video and also attracted 2 million followers as of midday Sunday.
Trump greets people at the UFC arena and concludes the clip by saying, “That was a good walk-on, right?”
In April, President Joe Biden signed into law a bill that would ban TikTok in the United States if its Chinese owner Bytedance fails to find a buyer for the app within a year.
Trump’s move to join TikTok comes after the share price of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), which operates Truth Social, dropped following his felony conviction.
Notably, Trump had previously attempted to ban TikTok in the US during his presidency.
