Corrido singer Chuy Montana, the famous producer Street Mob Records, was kidnapped and killed immediately by a group of armed men in the city of Tijuana, not Mexico. Chuy Montana sang corridos and was ”discovered” by Jesús Ortiz, dono of Street Mobs and vocalist of the group Fuerza Regida. Chuy had been kidnapped by armed men in a Renault Stepway.
He attempted to escape two kidnappers by attacking the vehicle, but he was killed with several shots from a 9mm pistol. Later, local residents found an abandoned body on the highway that connects Tijuana to Playas de Rosarito.
The Street Mobs producer released a note lamenting the murder of Chuy and giving strength to his friends and family.
