Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Congresswoman, Inna Vernikov, wearing Israel flag to NYYRC Gala goes viral on Twitter.

She wrote: “Tonight, on the third night of Chanuka, I am at the @NYYRC Gala proudly wearing a dress emblazoned in the flag of Israel 🇮🇱. So many Jewish New Yorkers & Jewish college students all over our country are afraid to display their Jewish identity, wear a Kipa, a Star of David, or express support for the great state of Israel. We cannot be afraid! We cannot remain silent! Be Jewish, Be Loud, Be Proud! This is where we live and we will not be intimidated!

“PS: This dress was created by an incredible Project Runway winner & celebrity designer Irina Shabayeva who pulled it together in less than 24 hours. Irina, I am beyond grateful for your talent and tenacity. God bless America & God bless our only true ally in the Middle East- Israel! 🇮🇱🇺🇸 עם ישראל חי.”

I’m here at the pro-Hamas rally in Brooklyn college. There is a ton of police and we made sure the Jewish students feel safe today, but here they are screaming and yelling “Intifada, globalize the Intifida!”‘ Vernikov said on a video from the protest posted on X.

‘If you are here today standing with these people you are nothing short of a terrorist without the bombs,’ she added.

Vernikov represents Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay and nearby neighborhoods, and sits on the Council’s Standards and Ethics Committee.

The CUNY4Palestine X account shared images of the councilwoman and her gun, writing: ‘At today’s rally on Brooklyn College campus led by the students in their SJP chapter, Inna Vernikov showed up showcasing a gun to Palestinian students and their allies.

‘These are the tactics of force and intimidation used by zionist groups to silence any support for Palestine.’

Brooklyn College’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter (SJP) is just one of many across the nation that have mobilized to justify the Hamas attack on Israel, arguing Israel is to blame for the violence.
