Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Commander Muhammad Firdaus Bin Ramli, Norfarahimi Binti Saedy, Joanna Felicia Anak Rohna and Arwah Abg Shahrizan, are some of the names of 503 Squadron who died in military choppers crash in TLDM base in Lumut, Malaysia.
According to the New Straits Times, the two helicopters, an Agusta Westland AW139 and a Eurocopter Fennec, were undergoing formation flypast training for the 90th Anniversary celebrations of the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The authorities received a report of the incident at 9:45am.
A total of 10 people were aboard the two helicopters, Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported, citing China Press.
FMT cited Berita Harian as saying that the crash occurred at the naval base in Lumut, Perak.
The Fire and Rescue Services Department, ambulance services and Navy Provost were dispatched to the crash site.
It is understood that there were 10 crew members involved in the incident- seven onboard the AW139 HOM and three on the Fennec.
Initial reports suggest that there were no survivors.
Meanwhile, Perak police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri confirmed the incident.
