Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Colonel Mohsen Daryanosh identified as one of pilot who died with President Ebrahim Raisi in crashed chopper in Jolfa, Azerbaijan.

The Western media decided to play the theater of the absurd. We are talking about a question to one of the Israeli officials from Reuters about whether Israeli intelligence services were involved in the death of the President and Foreign Minister of Iran in a helicopter crash in the province of East Azerbaijan.

Let us recall that official confirmation of the death of Ebrahim (Ebrahim) Raisi from Iranian officials was published early this morning. The message said that the helicopter crashed into a mountain; none of those on board, including the governor of the province of East Azerbaijan, the imam of Tabriz, the head of the presidential security, the head of the Foreign Ministry and the president himself survived. The crew members also died – there were three of them.

State TV said “no sign of life” was detected at the site of the crash in East Azerbaijan province, after more than 70 rescue teams spent the night scouring the mountainous terrain on foot, with helicopters unable to land due to poor weather.

The bodies were removed from the crash site on Monday morning and transported to the city of Tabriz, the Red Crescent announced, with funeral arrangements set to be announced by the government.

Widely seen as the successor to an ailing Khamenei, 85, experts say Mr Raisi’s death will disrupt the running for the next supreme leader.

The hardliner, 63, took office in 2021 and hastened Iran’s nuclear programme, in addition to presiding over the fierce government clampdown on anti-regime protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini in September 2022.

The government ushered in tighter restrictions on public freedoms in the aftermath of the protests.

Former foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif blamed the US for the crash, saying sanctions prevented Tehran from purchasing modern aircraft.
