A dolphin was found dead on Tuesday on Mar del Tuyu beach after a tourist pulled it out of the water. The animal was near the shore when it was taken in the arms of a young man and surrounded by a group of people who came to see what was happening.

“The dolphin died in her arms, surrounded by many curious people. I don’t know if we are prepared to know what to do in these cases,” said Lorena Cervetto , who was present at the scene at the time of the incident and posted photos of what happened on her social networks. “It’s a shame,” the woman lamented. The Undersecretary of Civil Defense of the Partido de la Costa, Augusto Giachetti , told LA NACION that the victim of the marine fauna was a specimen of the tonina species. “ The currents can bring them and these things happen,” he said and added: “ These types of situations are very difficult to handle, people have a peculiar interest in this subject, whatever the animal is.”
