Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Americans are reporting Gofundme after father, Jus Nellz, raised $450 for his 2 homeless children who died of hyperthermia in a minivan at casino parking lot in Detroit.

Tateona Williams, the mother of 2 children who froze to death while living in a van in Detroit, says that she contacted homeless services in different cities and states, she did not get any help before her children Darnell, 9, and Amillah, 2, died while sleeping in van at a Detroit parking garage.

Records show she reached out at least three times to Detroit’s homeless response team, but she didn’t receive any assistance. She said she contacted shelters in the area, but was told that they were full. READ MORE HERE

“I tried. I tried to keep hotels. I tried to pay people to stay there. It wasn’t working for me. Ya know, people didn’t like too many kids at the house.” LINK TO FATHER, JUS NELLZ, GOFUNDME DONATIONS

She said she reached out to her children’s father, but he also did NOT help them.

“He had plenty of excuses . Either he’s working, they can’t come where he’s living, or he lives with a female, and the parents don’t want kids there, or something. Maybe I asked the wrong people for help, but that was the only thing I did wrong.”

The father has since gone to the media to defend himself.

Darnell Currie Sr claims that he was not aware that his children had been living in a van for months because Tateona only asked him to come get the kids. He claims she never explicitly informed him that she and the kids were homeless living in a van.

“All she said was ‘can I get ’em?’ Can I get ’em, just to get ’em, and can I get ’em because ya’ll homeless? That’s two different things. She ain’t ever said nothing to me. Nothing. So, all them sob other stories, they can cut all that. No, she did not.”

Tateona said that she did tell him that she was homeless, and she couldn’t afford to keep them in a room anymore.

“I asked him, I said ‘can you get your kids from me?’ I said, ‘I need help. You know I’m homeless. I done kept a room this long. I couldn’t keep it no more.’”
