Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that actress, Nkechi Nweje, has passed away at the hospital after brief illness.

Renowned for her compelling portrayals of motherly figures, she graced numerous films, including “Dirty B|00d,” “Bloody Throne,” and “Festival of Sorrow.”
Off-screen, Nkechi was a devoted wife to Dr. Azubuike Nweje, a medical doctor and director with the Anambra State Ministry of Health. Together, they raised six children, comprising four daughters and two sons. Her first daughter, Adaora, is an activist advocating for girl child rights, while her third child, Ifeoma, was crowned the first-ever Miss Ofala. Another daughter, Kenechukwu, affectionately known as Kene, often assisted her mother by interpreting scripts before she began work on them.
Nkechi hailed from Ogboli Olosi in Onitsha North Local Government Area, Anambra State. Her dedication to her craft and her family left an indelible mark on both the film industry and those who knew her personally.
