Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 53-year-old German man, Florian Schröder, was fined €3,000 for setting up a Christmas tree outside a daycare in Hamburg which was seen as an act of aggression that made Muslim children feel unwelcome.
Florian Schröder (53) from Pinneberg near Hamburg just wanted to do something good last year: to get the kids in the daycare center in the festive mood during Advent with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. But the management of the daycare center “Mobi” in the Hamburg district of Lokstedt reported the founder of a tree shop .
Because Schröder had put up the tree and presents in a covert operation without having discussed it with the daycare center, the daycare center promptly called the police: trespassing! That was also the view of the Hamburg District Court, which sentenced Schröder to a fine of €3K.
And indeed: The daycare center, which belongs to the “Finkenau Kindergarten Foundation,” had previously decided against a tree. The reason given in an email to parents at the time was: “We as a team decided against it because we do not want to exclude any child and their faith – in the spirit of religious freedom.” READ MORE HERE
Schröder does not want to accept the penalty order and has lodged an appeal. That is why the regional court in the Hanseatic city will now deal with the case on Tuesday.
