Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 40-year-old man committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning as he passed a washing machine drain pipe through an exhaust of his car in Cottonlands.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property after a relative made the discovery. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a blue Toyota Corolla in the garage. One (1) end of a washing machine drain pipe was attached to the exhaust of the car and the other end was pushed through the rear window (pictures 1 & 2).
A relative informed Reaction Officers that they received a call from the deceased’s employer enquiring about his whereabouts. His family decided to conduct a wellness check and proceeded to his residence. When they arrived, they found the deceased’s vehicle idling in the garage. Upon further investigation, they located his lifeless body in the driver’s seat. They switched off the vehicle and contacted RUSA for assistance.
Circumstances surrounding the incident were not established.
