According to NYPost, 4 months after the passing of Christian Obumseli, his estranged girlfriend CourtneyClenney was officially arrested and charged with his murder.
On April 3, 2022, Clenney allegedly stabbed Obumseli during a fight in their Miami apartment. Viral footage after Obumseli’s passing, shows a bloody woman believed to be Courtney, handcuffed while speaking to police. According to TMZ, Clenney told officers that she did stab Obumseli with a knife. Her attorney claims it was an act of self defense after Obumseli had been stalking her for weeks.
Clenney was in a Hawaii rehab facility, receiving treatment for post traumatic disorder and substance abuse when she was arrested by police. Her lawyer says “I’m completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged.”
