Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as, Burnaboy, has said he isn’t a Nigerian anymore. He made this statement on Twitter over issue of low sales in his singles.
After making the statement, his fans (Outsiders) began to support him as they said he was only catching cruise. Other Nigerians have taken his statement serious, especially fans of his rivals, Davido and Wizkid.
In his tweet, he wrote: “Me wey no even be Nigerian artist.”
After sharing this tweet, he revealed why he has denounced being a Nigerian. According to him, he says he doesn’t make money from Nigeria. That means Nigerians hardly stream or buy his songs.
He wrote: “I’m from here and I live here because I love my home and my people, E no pass like that. I don’t make money from Nigeria. Na only cruise dey here.”
