The fake news was spread by James Opinions on Twitter over 10 hours ago. Immediately the news about a yet-to-be Premier league player got arrested over rape in North London, fans began to panic.
At first, Connor Humm took to his Twitter page to announce that Thomas Partey had travelled to Germany and he immediately deleted the tweet.
Now, he’s making another u-turn as he said the reason he deleted the tweet was because he wasn’t sure if Thomas really did travel or not.
Connor Humm wrote: “He was meant to travel with the rest of the squad. I deleted it as I cannot confirm if he did now. I also did not say he is not the one which is put in quotes on this article.
“Best to not say anything going forward. The news will come out soon.”
