Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has been invited to join the Oscars voting member. She is among 819 people, women in majority that got selected by the Academy Awards.
“The Academy is delighted to welcome these distinguished fellow travellers in the motion picture arts and science. We have always embraced extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of our global film community and more so than now,” Academy President David Rubin said.
The newly invited stars status will change from associates to members-at-large. As members-at-large, agents will now have Oscars voting privileges; of which Genevieve Nnaji will enjoy.
